This concert sheds light on the darkness: Conductor Friederike Scheunchen presents an atmospheric program full of luminous darkness. Claude Debussy's well-known work "Trois Nocturnes" bears the movement titles "Clouds," "Festivals," and "Sirens." Already here, the nocturnal aspect reveals itself in various shades: the somber, darkened night can also be wild, seductive, and even dangerous! Kristine Tjøgersen illuminates the wonders of nature in her composition "Bioluminescence," capturing the glow of fireflies and other self-illuminating organisms. The program is complemented by contemporary works, including an evening serenade by Ukrainian composer Valentin Silvestrov and a world premiere by Lucia Kilger, written for the exciting clarinet virtuoso Boglárka Pecze as the soloist.
Konzerteinführung um 19 Uhr mit Kurator Clemens K. Thomas.
